Rolling Japan: Matt does Tokyo...

OK, so as per my Jap@n thread, I am in Tokyo for six days, and currently sitting on the furry green rug at ratboy's house that will be my bed tonight.

Got in at 7.30 this morning, mild heart attack on plane when I thought my passport had been stolen...but turned up in a different pocket. Phew. Patdown by the unfailingly polite man at customs, a train, and Shinjuku Station.

The unexpectedly tall ratboy arrived a few minutes behid me, and we wandered the streets of Shinjuku for few hours. A couple of random cant-believe-they-tought of it shops, and my fill of McDonalds (i know i know, but they don't have it in vn, so i crave) Headed back to his place from there, just showered and chilling now.

Going to some some all you can et, all you can drink party tonight from some 20 yr old's birthday. At 33, imma be the creepy old guy, but so be it....i live for that shit.

Update tomorrow....

Tomorrow is a holiday, so I'll be available to meet for some sort of festivities.

Then, Friday night I'm under orders from Fashionista to bring my digital camera and get photos of us rolling -- and to wear my new velvet jacket.

ok, awake.... last night Ratboy an I went to Shibuya, he then proceeded to walk my tired as hell, frezing ass all over the city. Harajuku, and about nine other places that I will let him fill in the names on. A zillion and three shops and some seriously sore feet later, we ended up at some bar called Pink Cow for a beer, and then on to meet his friends for some cute girl's birthday. It was 3000 yen for all we could drink for about 2 hours, and some cold bar snacks. A couple of cute girls, but I was borderline comatose by the time we left though - other than some plane dozing, I had been awake for about 40 hours by this point. One of the few times in my life where I actually felt ooooold...everyone else was a student...circa 20-23, So i had like 13 years on most of the room, who were all jokng about their professors and so on, but still....I threw whiskey down my throat, and hope my tired ass didnt say anything too stupid. Some fat Chinese girl took quite a shine to Ratboy later in the evening, and that seemed like as good an excuse as any to not be there. A bunch of trains later, we were back here, and I was unconscious within minutes of the couch folding out. Ratboy just stumbled across some sumo event on today and is looking at how I get there - this may be my Thursday...otherwise, some temple is in my future. Red - my number is 08035735408. Give me a call and maybe can hang later in the afternoon. Thinking I'll either crash in a manga cafe or a capsule tonight, then at yours tomorrow...that cool? Alter - I mailed your package off yesterday too...

Filling in some of the gaps:

We walked from Shibuya -> Harajuku -> Omotesando -> Aoyama (had a beer at the Pink Cow) -> back to Shibuya for the party.
The party was at Burbon Street, where we rented out the whole bar... whole tiny bar. By the middle of the party there was probably 40~ people crammed into a space about the size of my living room, but the booze kept flowing. I ended up mostly talking to a girl that was sitting next to me most of the night who wasn't too bad (bout average cute). Got up to take a piss and order a few more drinks and I go back to my table to find the fat drunk Chinese girl has taken my spot . The party pretty much shut down around that point and everyone started working their way back out on the street. Out there Matt and I chilled waiting for the rest of the group, managed to ditch the FDCG and talk to a cute Japanese girl. On the way back tried shoving the FDCG away, but she wouldnt leave me alone, even giving everyone around me looks of "GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" to which most people just laughed, assholes.
No photos from last night, but I'm sure Matt, Red and I will have some from the SF meet up on Friday.
