I have always wondered why he was replaced on Around The Horn. After leaving ATH, he briefly had his own show, which was pretty damn good, on either MSG or Fox Sports.

he does commentary for HBO PPV boxing,Championship boxing and Boxing after dark.i think he also has a column on www.hbo.com/boxing

He was horrible on ATH and even worse as a boxing analyst.

Did put out a hilarious rap single back in the early '90s.

Mike & Mike and Jim Rome aren't anywhere near similar. You want bad sports anchors?

Dan Sileo - speaks like Shatner, if Shatner was a mongoloid
Steven A. Smith
Myers & Hartman
The interchangeable nerdy white guy, former famous black athlete duos on the weekends
JT the Brick - I'm not Jim Rome. Really guys, I'm not! I'm original!

In short, he had a salary dispute with ESPN and opted out. Shortly thereafter, his younger brother, Sam, was murdered by a former boxer. He's an excellent boxing analyst and I hope he gets a big gig, which could revitalize boxing e.g. Inside the NFL or a high-end Friday/Sat Night Fights.

yes, it seems he handled his brother's death pretty well, especially on air. i heard it wasn't so much a salary dispute with espn as HBO paid him ridiculous amounts for boxing, but espn wanted him either in CT or DC, and he wanted to stay in NYC being a bronx native, and living in manhattan with his gf. tony reali was a watered down dyke in comparison.

when max does hbo merchant is off and even in his senile, possibly pedophilic state (ive heard lampley grill him on his "trips to cambodia") i prefer merchant by about 3x to kellerman as for a big gig, isn't hbo ppv the biggest there is in boxing?

Yes, but due to PPV, HBO only airs matches 4-5 times a year. The current state and appeal of boxing is unfortunate imo.
