This is your best looking jacket.

How about the brown poopoo pants with the other LL tweed, which is a brown moleskin?

I think I might also have the cut altered a bit. I'm seeing how the changes to the jacket from my navy windowpane suit work out...if they do, I might have that done to the two tweed jackets.

Will posted a couple pics of his gun club, the one with the half moon pockets, and the combinations didn't seem more convincing than mine.

Wow, some major debacles in this thread. How did I miss them the first time?

I think that brown jacket would look good with mid gray pants and dark charcoal without stripes.

You mean, the one that looks most like an Italian bespoke number?

Perhaps you put them out of your memory since you like to keep an idealized image of me in your mind?

Of all the combos you posted this has the best trouser shape, IMO. I like the combo as well.

I set the record in my fraternity for number of times paddled during hell week. As they like to say in the CE, keep your chin up.

the gun club ... try it with mocha (dark brown/chocolate) pants ... also with charcoal pants, but without those shoes ... go for leather vs suede.

matter of fact - those shoes must be relegated to the back of your humongous wardrobe. also the jacket could do with some slimming of the sleeves and chest (if possible) ... it feels top-heavy

all is not lost for the gun club yet.

Good advice. I'll try that.

It's not a sleeve or top issue, I think...its shape is more obvious from the back:

I think that it presents blockier from the front because of the pattern, the quarters and the pockets. So, I'm thinking of having that changed to match my new SB pattern, which has a bit more angle to the quarters. I might also relent on the hip pocket size and placements.

We'll see.

You might say that those are too close (colourwise) to each other, but that's certainly a look I could see you pull off.

For me, it doesn't work in that picture mainly because the pants don't have enough texture. For colors, I'd try orange, maybe red, green. Basically, something brighter and more colorful, and more textured to stand up to the gunclub.

Hmm...I have some mustardy Borrellis and also some slim old school Helmut Lang chinos in that color. What kind of necktie?
