didn't mary mcdonnell do this in Sneakers? except without brando. or video. okay it was all magnetic tape audio.

I dont think its a gimmick at all if you take into account the underlying themes in the film. Anyway, I nor most people dont on watching the film just because of Brando's cameo (which I doubt is even credited).
