I normally make during the week some farina with cut strawberries. I don't add salt, sugar or honey, but add whole milk. I drink 6 oz of fresh squeezed OJ and have a cup of coffee to get me going. Then, about 90 minutes later, I'll eat a grapefruit (when I get to work). Any suggestions for something to mix this up. It needs to be QUICK, and preferably cheap (box of farina lasts me 2-3 weeks @ $5). Oatmeal is ok, but is a little more time consuming (I hate the instant crap, but if there really isn't a difference, I'd go with it).

What do you guys do?

Loaf of Bread: $4 (Oroweat)

1. Bite hole in bread, place on slightly-buttered frying pan.
2. Fry egg over-easy in middle of bread.
3. ????
4. Profit

Thats breakfast for a week for $7.

There's a difference. Regular oatmeal > instant.

half litre cottage cheese
4 eggs
2 pieces of toast

or

cottage cheese
4 eggs
oatmeal with berries

keep in mind you won't be able to get quick, healthy, tasty, and cheap.. maybe two of the four if you're lucky. what you put in = what you get out; if you want to eat cheap **** thats fast then you'll look like it

best tradeoff would be a shake with whey or casein, berries or bananas for your carbs, handful of walnuts or almonds for your fats. or you could get up 20 minutes earlier and make a breakfast that doesnt suck ass

Here's what I often have in the morning:

1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal, dry
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup water

stir together (it will be thick), add

1 cup of yogurt (lowfat strawberry, peach, whatever)
10 whole almonds
1 tsp. flax seed oil

Takes about 3 minutes to make and tastes a helluva lot better than you might think.

Coffee. Orange Juice if I'm lucky.

I never have time to make breakfast. I loathe waking up in the morning, usually due to a hangover, so I do everything last minute.
