The Who at half time. - Page 5

Ringo's son (on drums) looks like Dana Carvey.

Compare the Super Bowl show to this: (yes, it's been 40 years)

I agree with this. Sometimes CSNY is a little too feminine a sound for my tastes.

Like Mick Jagger, way past expiration date.

you guys are all crazy. was it their best show? certainly not. were they better than U2 or Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson? abso-freakin-lutely. I am a HUGE Who fan but still so there ya go but that aside, it was a helluva performance as far as superbowl shows go.

oh and Zack Starkey SUCKED! I know it's hard to live up to Keith Moon but Come ON!

Pino was pretty good though. Hard to hold a candle to the ox but he did okay imo.

I also saw the 89 tour here in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl. it was one of the best shows i've seen to date.

The Who sucked last night. The lights outperformed them. As soon as I heard they were going to do the half-time show I knew it was going to be shitty. Springsteen was awful last year and couldnt hold a candle to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

I find almost nothing of value in CSN (or CSNY, really, aside from "Ohio"), where Neil Young is a God. And I'd almost call him underrated in mainstream terms - deeply influential on numerous genres (I think there's an argument he's more influential than anyone but the Stones or Beatles) and unlike his peers he never stopped making fresh music.

No one should give a shit about latter day Stones or Pete Townshend solo or Robert Plant solo or blah blah blah. But Young, even when he was bad, never just threw in the towel on being inventive and interesting.

Really, really good guy as well. I've enjoyed it each time I've met him. Edit: Buffalo Springfield > CSNY for Young bands.
