best anti shine lotion for face?

i've been using Loreal Men's Oil Controller lotion for the last 2 years and it seems they don't make it anymore. It works ok, but my skin still gets a little oily, just less with the lotion.

I dropped by Macys and they have Shiseido anti lotion but it's $33 for 1oz! as compared to the $16 for THREE 1.7oz of the Loreal on amazon.com.

Is this price difference really worth it?

Are anti-oil, oil control and mattifying lotions the same? because some have powder that absorbs but it seems like make up.

No amount of ani-shine lotion can help you well enough.

Try blotting paper.

wouldnt blotting paper remove shine after the fact, i want something thatll prevent/reduce the amount of shine

Try looking at your diet. Different types of foods will affect your body causing you to produce more oil and whatnot. I've found it especially true when I eat a lot of greasy foods like wings and pizza.

first, make sure you're drinking enough water during the day.
as lotions go, try the mattifying moisturizers from the Body Shop's seaweed line.

Hmmm, I would like to know as well. The winter really dries my skin out, I've found some good moisturisers that help out, but they all have the side effect of making me a bit shinny.

HI all : my first post ..

I have dry skin and tried all sorts of things for my face. from Modern Man to Zirh, and Boss to St Ives .. but all of them keep the face moist for a little while and then the area around my mouht starts getting dry and feels like its cracking.
the only thing that came close to being good are King of Shaves and Moisturel. is there anything else out there in terms of a non-greasy but long lasting facial moisturiser ?

I got a "Matifying Gel" from my personal derm, it works super well (I have oily skin and it actually prevents shine and oil for 6-8 hours, unless you sweat.)

However it's her personal brand and it's only sold through her clinic.
