What happened in this eBay sale?

I know the London Tan SAB Westminister is particularly desirable to some, but paying $2,000 for a used briefcase?

You can get it for $2085 (present exchange rates) at the SAB site, and add maybe a few hundred bucks for shipping/ tax if you're outside the UK. The dimensions seem to match those on the eBay listing.

Or if you're in the US, you can buy a very slightly smaller case new for $1,925 here and the same-ish size case here.

Would be interesting to find out if the 'winner' pays up.

SAB seems to do that to people - I paid less than $100 for a collection-only SAB case on eBay last autumn, never really used it so re-listed in the spring and it made something like $500.

John Lobb Crocodile Black "Campus Loafers" Sz 7.5

http://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Lobb-Crocodile-Black-Campus-Loafers-Sz-7-5-/200780221878?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&hash=item2ebf6f0db6#ht_500wt_1413

For the small-footed man, but Lobb Crocodile that is essentially new at $850 BIN seems reasonable to me, although in this economy nothing makes sense anymore.

Could be interesting if the seller (hardly any feedback) doesn't ship?
