What is the point of a Private Listing anyway?! I thought the whole benefit of eBay is EXPOSURE, and more is a good thing?

Sorry I wasn't clear. Here's another one: Church's Custom Grade 12D Shell Cordovan Brogue at $21.50 after 5 bids with just under 4 days to go. Seller - the one who includes a photo of a woman and 2 girls in what appears to be Easter dress in its auctions - describes the shoes as MINT.

I know just enough about Laguiole to know how tricky a topic it is. Laguiole is a place, like Champagne. It was famous for knifemaking and classically good quality pocketknives and steak knives of a certain style came from there, but there was no control over the name. In recent years some companies (I believe Sabatier was one of them) seized on the name and began selling terrible quality items using the name Laguiole and appropriating the usual handle style and bee insignia associated with Laguiole knives. Most of the Laguiole found offprice at HomeGoods or on Amazon is of that sort. I never cared to investigate further as I have enough expensive hobbies and a pocketknife tends to be an inconvenience when one travels or moves around much. Arnys sold some of the most beautiful pocketknives, though they were not Laguiole. They were damasked with handles in shagreen or scrimshaw or mammoth ivory. Very, very expensive.

appreciate the effort, but anything high quality like that with 4 days to go with no BIN will surely go way up. if they had a $60 BIN or something, then that is a different case

I posted the shoes for two reasons. First, someone might be interested in the shoes irrespective of the current high bid. Second, the seller has already been shown within the last couple of weeks on "Cool Shoes" to play fast and loose with his auction descriptions; these shoes are far from "mint".

C&J Westfield 8.5 US $150 BIN http://cgi.ebay.com/CROCKETT-JONES-M...item53e5e58a4b Same user is also selling a couple pair of C&J's and Churchs

Three pairs of EG for PS 10D (US, I assume) Spectators, Captoe brogues and Suede Punchcaps. Both look really good. No reserve.

Also states: "Part of a collection of high end EDWARD GREEN PAUL STUART shoes on ebay this week!" Perhaps there is more? Worth emailing about?

Shameless shill for some boots I'm selling. They are unique so I hope it is ok to post here. I need your expert advice. I've recently acquired a pair of vintage G.J. Cleverley Chelsea boots. Do you think they are bespoke, semi-bespoke, etc..? They've been completely re-crafted and are in great shape. I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.
