I saw some by Omersa in an Orvis store last year, quite funny.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with a man called Ralph Lauren.

Good point. He recreated an entire world to which he did not belong and about which few remember or care.

Most of us here invent worlds we did not belong to, which may have ended before we were born and which never may have existed... few of us are able to license our dreams for billions of dollars and offshore them to China.

But a lot of people buy a lot of clothes because of that world. It doesn't matter that they don't "remember or care"--they let Ralph Lauren do that for them.

I don't see what's so controversial about an animal made out of leather.

Unless it is life-size and/or anatomically correct...

Yesterday I asked the seller to confirm that the shoes are C (and not D) width. He/she promptly replied - they are C width so they are too narrow for me. But this morning I noticed the high shipping charge. So, wanting to stir the pot a little, I sent a message to the seller stating that the shipping charge seemed high and asking the seller to confirm that it is correct. I'll post the seller's response when I receive it.

The funny part is that the shipping was only $5.99 when I posted about it. I wonder if he would have honored it!

These would be sweet with a pair of tortiose shell Ray Bans.
