am backlogged with fotos, my friend. Between my kids and my shoes, I have maybe 600-1000 pics to look thru! I miss the pre-digital age when one got film developed. Same exact shoes as in that link, though.

I don't know much, either, and it's been ten years since I've ridden, but I've been watching that one. It has already survived one full cycle without a single bid, so it can likely be had for close to asking. And I've seen other SAB saddles posted for $2K (though, in fairness, they, too have gone unsold).

HA. dont get th the Santoni Marketing strategy. Once Upon A Time, the "Andrea Santoni Santoni Fatte A Manos" were the top line. They were all handmade Norv and Bentivegna models. The "Andrea Santoni" was handwritten with a pen. The "When Santoni saw that the "Fatte Models" were gaining popularity... especially on forums, they made more and more "Fatte A Mano" shoes, but most were NOT actually "made by hand". The top models were still the Norv and Bent ones... but they were focusing on the mid and lower end models to increase sales and revenue (blake stitched). At the very beginning of the "Limited Edition" terminology for Top Models, "Limited Edition" was Hand-written underneath "Andrea Santoni".

Once Santoni saw market potential in their top models, they created the "true" limited edition... which were STILL simply the handmade Norv or Bent models, but with a "Limited Edition" footbed pad + a fancy box with accessories... but with a huge uptick in price.

Santoni is a MASTER of marketing. Depending on the market, (at least for models a couple of years old), you will see identical shoes with limited Edition footbeds & boxes sold for much more than the exact same shoe sold without. This Gray pair of monks is a PERFECT example. The same exact shoe is sold with a "non-Ltd Edition" footbed and regular box.

Did you check? With the new Shoebank site, it's pretty easy to check stock: http://www.shoebank.com/

Do shoebank ship internationally? If not, any proxies?
