Only ever been to the Fukuoka branch. They are always extremely helpful, and offers to polish my shoes and such if they´re not superbusy with other customers. Quite fond of the place, really! Now, they don´t have my sizes at all, and with my mother visiting now, they didn´t even have hers (unless she went mens models)
I´ve had soles changed there though, as well as bought lots of tools. Never any trouble!
The people at the ginza branch might have that Tokai-attitude!
Trading Post hadn't arrived when I lived in Hakata, but I can see folks in Fukuoka being more friendly. I thought that the Ginza folks were jerks because they had too many tourists dropping by. My sour experience with the Ginza location was in 2005. They must have had staff turnover since then, so I can only assume that the attitude is encouraged.
