Norwegian Rain Rancho for the wife as a Valentine's Day present - this thing rocks.  Looks good on dudes as well, and I'm thinking of picking up one for myself as the ballerest poncho ever.

Where did you get the sevket? Was that the medium that's been on eBay for a while?

These ones though, in addition to all the good things that @Synthese
said, are a marked improvement.  Uniform, tight, stitching.  All the right stitching types in the right areas.  And the material is tightly woven and water and wind resistant and merino backed, which makes them really warm even to very cold temperatires, and really useful for a lot of different uses,  I like to wear mine with my Hender Scheme Runners (MIP-08) and really wish that I'd brought those to Paris to wear them with,
any chance for a fit pic?

It is, I might actually sell it. Color is too similar to this Raf I have, I ended up winning it for $117 so if anyone's interested just hit me up, it's actually really nice.

This one is actually different than the ones you see often I think that you're referring to. This is from 09 off white moleskin exterior and a padded interior that I think Is detachable, I've never seen this exact one until now. And I knew what it was from a few things when I compared the pictures. I think the ones that you see often are more like puffer parka.

Did you send them back to get repaired/ replaced? Or did you just get a refund?

I ask because I have a few pairs of the 3 way shorts with the same problem. The stitching on the back rise seam is coming apart...something I wouldnt expect from a pair of $120 technical shorts designed to run and workout in.

You are right though, the stitching throughout doesnt seem to be that good...dont know why they just dont use taped or lapped seams.

I'll take a better picture of them someday. And I definitely plan to abuse them, so I will certainly report back with any construction issues as well.

These ones used both lapped seams and overlocked seams, I think, so that made more sense.  On the other hand, one of the most popular pair of softshell pants, the Marmot Screes, have the same issue, and have had this issue forever, so...
