Recently I've been lusting for a denim jacket and, as a consequence, I hysterically browsed the web (+went shopping several times) in search for a good candidate.

The short list looked something like this:

  • Edwin did I great job with its Overworks Factory collection/line. I tried on a jacket that had the right hue, fit snugly without being too snug and had all the chops but...it costed a fortune for being a 'basic' which I plan to use mostly for layering.

  • ...then I saw the Neighboorhood Stockman Jean Jacket on sale at TBS. I quite like it...but it's black.

  • Finally I ended up copping the Tryggve worker jacket by Nudie Jeans. The jury is still out as the parcel hasn't been delivered yet but it does look like what I need and the price point is quite a blast compared to what I had in mind.

imo the 348 last is too pointy to look right on such a casual boot like a chukka
not really liking the monks, old man shoes

Strongly disagree, double monks with the top strap unbuckled looks great.

I've got like 50 pounds on this guy so it's obviously not gonna hang off me the same way but it's supposed to fit big (I'm pretty sure):

white on black looks fine, I just want to see a fit with your posture straight and not holding a camera
