Assume he means cheap frames.

No, I have my prescription info from my contact lenses and "real" glasses, so there are a bunch of sites where you can get cheapo "beater" glasses made overseas with crappy plastic lenses if you want.  Those 3 pairs are from Zenni Optical, and each was something like $10-$15 including frame and lenses.  These cheap places also offer all sorts of upgrades for your lenses to make them less cheap, but better (maybe?).

I don't advocate wearing bad plastic lenses all day every day though - I can't imagine the long-term effects are good.  These are just for when I don't want to wear contacts but want something different.

I also picked up a pair of Italia Independent frames in a semi-opaque white-ish clear acrylic with "real" lenses that were admittedly not cheap, (although not at all pricey at a cost of 1/4 my non-prescription sunglasses) but I don't really have any good pictures of those. They're very similar to the frames Master Milano has IIRC.  They also might not arrive since I got an email from the retailer that they're waiting on a shipment of those frames.  I got the above ones in the meantime for some fun.

4est have you considered Lasik correction?

Ah, I see. I get new frames every few years with a new prescription, and my frames aren't cheap and yet the prescription still crushes them in price. uhoh.gif

Maybe I should try out some of these cheapy places for fun.

I've never found a pair that fit my face as well as these do. I've never fallen asleep with my glasses on before until I got these

I get a new pair every year or so but have stuck with mykita/ic-berlin since '09, only brands that actually last me the full year if not more without breaking/fallingapart/bendingtopointofnoreturn

Nice, what style did you get?  Or were those the ones I've seen you in?

I have, yes.  My brother and a bunch of my friends have had it done and have all been happy.  I might eventually, but I like both contacts and glasses, so who knows.

Yeah, you wear eyeglasses daily, right?  I edited my first post with some more info but in that case you probably want something nicer and should keep up your normal eyeglass process.  It's fun to play around though, and it's not like there is much of a commitment to buying these cheap ones and seeing if you like the way a certain shape looks on you beyond the 2 minutes in front of a mirror.

I did this (PRK).  Expensive but worth it, but I'd bet my vision was a lot worse than yours is so it was really needed to be able to do basic things like see the clock when in bed.

I've never heard anyone enjoy wearing contacts before.

I've been wearing wary parker frames for the past few years. Before that was Oliver Peoples, and while the WPs are clearly worse quality, they're like 1/10th of the price. I have a rough prescription too.

More Inis Meain. Kafka has their remaining knits at half off.

It's more this color than pale blue.
