Recent purchases - Part II - Page 2602

copped this for $60 on ebay. Going for $590 to $4300 on amazon. Did I get a steal or are the amazon prices overinflated? Probably the latter. The book is awesome but I wouldn't pay much more for it.

I think Fuuma is/was looking for this one.

The original 2008 catalogue price was something like $30 but it goes for 100-200 now so it's a great deal but not an absolute steal. Amazon.com prices can be a pretty accurate to totally worthless indication of out of print publications market value. No one's gonna buy that at $4000. Prices also widely fluctuate between different amazon websites so it's always good to look around, case in point amazon.uk has a couple of copies for GBP110 right now.

Post a review in the fashion book thread at some point

iirc the materials on that'll be the same as my field parka. awesome jacket.

Hope it's decently warm, kinda took a chance on it.

if it's the same shell material, it is surprisingly warm. the nyco ripstop basically blocks any and all wind. this + a knit has gotten me through the coldest of new england weather.

Cool, I'm loving my SS weight bedford so I figured I'd try another EG jacket. Plus, it might help me resist the Junya I was eyeing.
