How do Montblanc fountain pens write? I've handled a couple and they seem nice, but reviews seem to make them sound like the pen equivalent of Louis Vuitton (big on brand recognition/display of wealth, light on quality).
I like those TWSBI pens, but I've got three FPs already and don't really need more.
I can't speak for the other lines, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Meisterstuck 146/149. I took it to class every day for at least a month last year (now that I have other FP's and a laptop, it's all a rotation depending on the class and day). It writes really nicely and it's hard to overstate how beautiful the nib is. It is my preferred writer with the Pelican 400 Flex a close second.
Here's a couple pics from a review I wrote of it when I got it over 3 years ago (mostly for the sake of seeing how it writes- the ink is MB Toffee Brown). I apologize for sounding a bit immature (idiotic), I was 17.
I like bics. When you lose them nothing changes.
