I agree with you on FP's though, I've got an MB149, Pelikan 400 Flex-nib (50's), and TWSBI VAC700.  They're all wonderful pens.

Engineering makes sense, my perspective is more from just a daily writing standpoint (which I do a lot of at work).

How do Montblanc fountain pens write? I've handled a couple and they seem nice, but reviews seem to make them sound like the pen equivalent of Louis Vuitton (big on brand recognition/display of wealth, light on quality).

I like those TWSBI pens, but I've got three FPs already and don't really need more.

I like bics. When you lose them nothing changes.

I can't speak for the other lines, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Meisterstuck 146/149.  I took it to class every day for at least a month last year (now that I have other FP's and a laptop, it's all a rotation depending on the class and day).  It writes really nicely and it's hard to overstate how beautiful the nib is.  It is my preferred writer with the Pelican 400 Flex a close second.

Here's a couple pics from a review I wrote of it when I got it over 3 years ago (mostly for the sake of seeing how it writes- the ink is MB Toffee Brown).  I apologize for sounding a bit immature (idiotic), I was 17.

Definitely made me chuckle a bit.  I totally understand this view.

I've got one that's basically just a feather Siki Im ripped out of something in his back yard, then one from ToJ that looks great, but is too small to use. Both will hit b&s pretty soon.

as far as your question earlier had an excellent rascc last night and a real nice sig i on the patio earlier and to be honest I'm a bit smoked out so going to take it easy until tomorrow

Mine are robo ts, mse from april 11, no clue yet how they are but I've never been disappointed by robo ts nor do I expect to be this time. I have space for about one more SLB and if I take my BHK out of theirs and move them into trays, one more dress box too, so I'm trying to decide what last boxes I want before space constraints make me unable to do much except smoke what I have. Envious of your aristocrat right now. I'm almost filled out on cohibas; Lanceros, Esplendidos, Sig Is, and coros I'm flush with right now. Maybe get a box of BBF, I really liked the BRCs I had a year or so ago.

Long before going to see La Berma, however, I had learned that whatever I longed for would be mine only at the end of a painful pursuit; and that this supreme goal could be achieved only on condition that I sacrifice to it the pleasure I had hoped to find in it.

So close to getting the Siki Im bomber. Placed an order but Joseph had already sold it this morning. Just get a ToJ? Shouldn't have slept, love Siki's added details and lines.
