i made the mistake of returning something for a $200 credit instead of cash last fall. i've only had one purchase from yoox that i kept. admittedly, i haven't made that many orders but it's probably my worst success rate for online clothing stores that i've ordered from more than once. even considering the bad photography, almost none of their stock strikes me as something that would look good and if it does the price is relatively high. not everything on yoox can be an awesome deal but it's hard to justify spending the same kind of money (or more) on their website as i would at retail ones.

I think I've only wound up wearing one thing I bought from Yoox, but I generally chalk it up to sizing gambles that didn't pay off. This is, however, a timely discussion, as I've recently started to think that a pair of grey side-zips I bought in December (but haven't worn yet, because of the weather) are just a little too sleek for my preferences. Of course, I've come to this realization a good two months after I could conceivably do anything about it. Now, it's probably a matter of either taking a big loss in the B&S forum or wearing them when the weather allows, but possibly never being totally satisfied. Then again, I might just not be used to seeing sleeker footwear on my feet. Either way, frustrating.

This all sounds fantastic, even the denim, which I'm not really into these days. I wish that sweatshirt came in another color, even a charcoal. Not totally sold on most things heather grey. Still, probably gonna give one a try, and the U-Neck, which is one of the few tees I've seen in recent months that "do it" for me, price tag be damned.

The fabric of the grey u-neck tees looks so good. I haven't quite crossed the $50 threshold for tees, but I just might for these (macklemore be damned)

i wrote this on sufu too, but despite what you say this is promotion. there's nothing wrong with that though since you legitimately bought stuff and aren't flooding the forums/spamming.

i'm also interested in those t-shirts, especially in light of uniqlo's recent disappointment. i'll probably wait until some others have tried them out before spending $60 on one though. for those that are ordering some, keep us updated on how they turn out. and @mssneaker, you should tell them to post measurements on their website.

Ok, I may be "promoting" it just like I have promoted MMM or Yuketen stuff I like or whatever, but Im obviously here for the clothes and I think it is an overall great product. And you can take to the bank that I haven't been paid a dime to post this recent purchase here, nor did I have to say I know them.

I guess any recent purchase can be considered "promotion," I don't know. I didn't try to start a new thread for them or anything.

I seriously have the best of intentions and people seem generally interested. They told me they are working on measurements and I there may be an affiliate thread soon as well.

i'm not questioning your intentions. promoting isn't wrong in and of itself, and i'm actually glad you contributed your post since i'm interested in the brand now. i just wanted to make sure we were defining it correctly.

Probably can't do a fit pic till later -

Inseam is 34 on my 29's, waist is closer to 16" but I think I must have stretched that from 15.5." So, I definitely recommend a size down and I also think you could maybe get away with 2 sizes down though I don't recommend it. I doubt this denim stretches like APC or something. I'm comfortable and snug in my 29's and usually wear a 30 though I have gained some weight and may be closer to 31" now.

The hem is 7"

I'd call these a slim taper - almost like a N & F weird guy.

He also brought up a good point; he didn't have to say he knew them. Without that it's just like any other post in this thread.

Think I'm going to order those jeans smile.gif

I picked up a couple John Elliott tees. Curved hem in white and straight hem in gray. They're pretty nice, a bit softer than the usual AA tees. Went TTS. Neck opening is a bit smaller than I had originally hoped, not much bigger than AA loose crews and way smaller than Acne Limit. Sleeves have a bit of a tent effect. The white one wrinkles pretty easily, gray is a bit more resilient. The speckled fabric on the gray is really nice.

I think if you want standard longer tees w/ loose neck opening and can do without the u-hem, AA loose crew is pretty equivalent for much cheaper. If you like the u-hem or gray speckled fabric, these are worth it.
