Agreed. I have Leviathan Wakes, The Magus, some Vernon Vinge and the second book of the Mars trilogy headed to me right now.

Oh, and a Margiela jacket and a pair of BLK DNM jeans that looked appealing enough to give a try at the cheap price I found them for.

Didn't have much to do this weekend, so I'm about a quarter of the way through Leviathan Wakes now (enjoying the hell out of it)

These days, tbh, I read mostly tech and fashion news, but I still get paper copies of WWD.

The nice thing about that book is that it spans the gamut from HG Wells and Lovecraft to Philip K Dick, Arthur C Clarke and Asimov to Haldeman and Harlan Ellison. Everything from soft science fiction to hard science fiction, space opera, cyberpubk or space marines. And yes, lots of alien sex too.

it's basically firefly x mass effect which is - and this goes practically without saying - fucking awesome.

I'll check it out sometime this week, I've been meaning to go pick up the second Game of Thrones book for a year now.

BLK DNM jeans 9 is nice fit for me. Which model you bought?

hahah, yeah, I was just kidding about the combo. although I am getting a little bored with minimalism and liking the idea of pattern mixing.

the espadrilles are just soludos. nothing fancy. I wouldn't mind a pair of those orange striped DVN ones though :-)

This is a great series if you can get past Gardens of the moon. Ericsson is creating one of the most complex and interesting series out there. Esselmont the co creator of the series writes supplementary one shots. Night of knives and Return of the crimson guard my favorites. You have to read both authors to get the full story. If you like warfare, magic and character development read this series. I also recommend the Black company. Oh yeah my screen name is from that series.
