To me where I live, but if you live in like socal you [might] want the appearance of a winter coat without the warmth.  I'd wear something like that about two days of the year.

Nope!
Plenty of days to wear it here, with a tee or a light sweater.

A long coat seems like a winter piece, but if you're wearing gothninja everyone is going to think you're a weirdo anyway, so who cares

Not everyone.... Only weirdos will think that someone wearing something like this is a weirdo.

One of the great benefits of linen jackets/coats is that they can keep you cooler in summer, even though they are another later. The linen blocks the sun, but allows the breeze to blow through.

christophe lemaire sweater

stock fit pics: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

my pic:

nice and thick - the fabric/knitting/pattern is the best of any knitwear i've ever had. there's a very slight tinge of red throughout that isn't noticeable unless you're wearing it, and even then just very faintly. could never capture it in pics but it's nice even if not really visible. probably doesn't fit quite as slim as the fit pics make it look, which i prefer. my shoulders are very broad, but i don't think the shoulder drop is as exaggerated as in their photo either. i'd been having a bit of difficulty with what to make of christophe lemaire since i had no way of handling his stuff, but it makes a huge difference.

had been eyeing it all winter but no one in the u.s. stocked it which made things a bit difficult. waited until it on sale at thecorner uk (american thecorner didn't stock it for some reason). rirawin, who does the free uk uniqlo proxy, did me a huge favor and proxied it for me (still for free cause he's awesome). was just barely over $300 when all was said and done. had buyer's remorse until i actually received it.

Is there a Half-Price Books nearby? With rare exceptions, I've always been able to find the most rare, tasteful, experimental, amazing books I'm after in their $1 section (filled with the books everyone reads, and the books few people read). Probably my favorite:

Just curious. Can't imagine having to let your book habit impact anything else.
