I want to get into cool ice-people languages, but I've no appreciation for black metal or any of that shit. KoY there must be a Nordic version of Erykah Badu? or perhaps John Darnielle? or Built to Spill?

I.e. find the Nordic doppelgängers of my favorite bands please thanks.

The spirit of e.g. Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" must reside in some Nordic singer's catalogue. I'm determined to have someone else do the work of bringing that music to my attention.

Því miður, Ég tala ekki íslensku.

Synth, no one wants your troll-orgy music. Bring us something about love, snow, and sultry Scandinavian affairs.

Some of the better Danish bands are Ulige Numre, Fallulah, and Oh Land. Avoid anything with Trentemoeller's name attached
