It was an incredibly stupid comment, wasn't it?

I really wonder if people are unanimous in condemning current Rick Owens leather? I was lookign into getting a high end leather jacket, and was thinking about one of his--but now I'm wondering.

^People pretty much unanimously agree the leathers have jumped the shark in terms of both quality and design. But that just means you have to be more selective about which one you get as to what leather it's made in, and don't put too much faith in the fact that it's RO for quality.

And, just to totally contradict what I just said, I just picked up a black lamb MMM T-3, more or less totally blind, on the basis that it is an MMM leather. This is generally not a good purchasing strategy. Shall see when it arrives whether it is a pass or fail...

Tend to agree with this, more directional than your everyday moto for sure but not THAT directional.

Yo, Reedo, if you're still looking for cheap basic derbies with slight toe bulbage, I found this pair on Yoox:

All I know about the company is they make their stuff in Italy, but the last looks pretty nice

Well, despite people saying I should get the cotton one I bought this. Sorry to disappoint:

But the thing is, it was cheaper than the cotton one, by about $500.

Who knows, maybe I'll sell it again.

justin beiber rocks RO as well if that makes any difference... don't read too much into my comment, women / men, RO makes great stuff, but catered to another audience nowadays. If you're looking for a 'bad ass' leather jacket, you can do much better with more interesting cuts for much cheaper. boris bidjan saberi makes awesome jackets if you want something wild or you can even go TOJ for something simple and minimal at an even better price. I tried on a few of the new RO jackets at maxfields the other day and i found most of the jackets rather boring and the sizing is not particularly flattering.

Just got a pair of Naked and Famous Weird Guys in duck canvas.  I like the fit so far but I'm just not used to the low rise.

BBS is awesome. I also like Kazuyuki Kumagai for minimalism.

It's interesting that most people look better/favor the semi-shrink wrapped RO look, while Charly goes the oversize route and still looks good. Probably attributed to Charly being bulkier.

There are some absolutely heinous leathers and other pieces in every collection Rick has done going back as far as I can remember. So in that respect nothing has changed.

If you just want to throw on a leather over t, black jeans and boots, you can do worse than a Rick leather, if you pick one of the better styles and get the fit right. A bad fitting Rick leather is a hot mess from hell.

Are you speaking to both KKA and KK or not? Because they're not the same

One line is "Attachment" and the other is "Kazuyuki Kumagai Attachment" or "Kazuyuki Kumagai." At least, as far as I know, it's just these two lines.
