Just picked these up in 8.5. Not sure if they'll fit that well into my wardrobe or where I want my wardrobe to go, but they're fucking beautiful.

I have these as well. I love them and seem to get a lot of compliments on them. My only gripe with the boots though is that the tongues always slide off to the side after just a few steps, I ended up having the cobbler stitching them to the sides of the shoes to make sure they are always centered.

Very nice, BBSLM. I have four of those chair shells in greige, but I am waiting to choose bases depending on what I can find for a table. I'm thinking I might just have someone make me a maple table and use maple dowel bases, although I do like those walnut dowels...

What's the point of buying a Global knife if you're just cutting tomatoes with it? What's the point of buying Edward Green shoes if you're just walking to work with it. What's the point of having a 3D capable HDTV if you're just gonna watch cable with it?

Dude, are you sure you're on the right forum?

It's not the same comparison, though. He's saying MP3s are so low quality that you won't notice an improvement with expensive earbuds. Of course, I don't really think that is true.

It's not hard to notice the difference between the in-ear buds(40-50 $) and the on-ear ones I'm going to get (200 $) with the same iPod and tracks

Those Bose headphones actually separate and make distinct certain frequencies, making low-quality mp3s sound a lot better.  But yeah, you're wasting your money if your songs aren't at 190kpbs or higher (don't put flac or wav on an ipod, total overkill).

Not true. A good encoded 128kbps mp3 can easily sound different with good earphones on. The difference is that with good quality earphones, you will know the good encodes from the bad ones because the bad ones will sound like shit.

Plus Bose is well known in the audiophile world as having overpriced earphones/headphones stuff for the performance they offer.
