my concept of pricing has become so skewed after a year on this site. but i feel like sneakers are meant to be beat up, so the term "beater sneakers" is kind of a misnomer for me...

Took a chance on a 43 in the same color. Didn't make sense to go with black, since I have those same Butteros (along with half of SF, apparently).

There's a decent chance they'll be too small, in which case they'll be up on B&S presently.

Yeah, footwear is the one thing I absolutely cannot buy cheap anymore. I have a pair of high top converse and frees for the gym, some slippers for the house and everything else is 'upscale'. There's such a drastic difference.

I dunno, I don't like the newer wedge sole CP combat boots but those geller ones look pretty good to me:

I have a pair of white CPs and a pair of chucks I got for $30, the chucks hurt the hell out of my feet but the CPs are near-indestructible, so I only really have to tolerate the chucks for outdoor concerts and other really dirty events.  I think I'm going to need to pick up a pair of Adidas or something this summer that doesn't hurt so much.

Yeah the description is copied from the suede version with the spat. I think these are smooth leather with no spat. Be warned though, I don't think they've updated the stock so they might be sold out...

ok those are just weird, i dont mind lace + zipper but the buckles kill it

Yeah, there are two different product listings, one for suede and one for leather. Suede is black and grey, leather is black and brown.

edit: The spat is removable. Pretty sure it snaps on. You'll still have the male part of a snap if you remove it, but you won't have to deal with the buckles every time you put them on or take them off.
