You know that one of a the guys is the food editor for the LA Times, right? And there are several other guys in the food threads who are pros in the restaurant industry. Just fwiw.

Yeah, I was actually thinking that the black suede ones really remind me of your Butteros. But a smooth black pair would have an entirely different effect, I think.

Also copped the nasty Geller GATs as cheap summer beaters. Always thought they were kinda ugly, but hopefully they're comfortable and nice quality for the price.

I almost did that too but then I realized that spending $100 on 'beater' sneakers isn't normal.  Does the spat thing come off the boots?
