Can nobody recommend a decent lavender scent?!?
This is typical of this thread....idiotic opinions...daft suggestions...wry sarcasm....but nobody is any help!  Most frustrating, isn't it Reedobandito?

I am not a Pakistani!  That was a rumour started by the crazy Shah!!!
And yes...the jury is still out on whether Pakistanis use cologne...the verdict is reached, however, that Indians do not.

When I was in a college, I saw a "Welcome to the US!" handbook that the Indian student association put out for the Indian foreign students....there was an entire section on hygiene, it made it clear that unlike in India, it is not cool to "stink" in the West...and there were recommendations for cheap colognes and the best ways to procure them....

Gris Clair, Lutens’s ode to lavender, evokes in our minds the image of a cool flame
…a strange, otherworldly flame that illuminates but doesn’t warm and doesn’t burn
if you touch it. The wonderfully refined, complex and beautifully ethereal creation
beings with a chilly, shimmery, definitely “gray” lavender note. The contrast of the
cold lavender and the sweeter, warmer blend of amber and tonka bean in the
middle stage is incredibly appealing. Our favorite part of Gris Clair are the elegantly
charred, smoky base notes of dry wood and “burned incense”. The darker accord
gives Gris Clair an infinite depth and the exotic, opulent feel that we came to associate
with the best Lutens’s creations. The chilly lavender, the honeyed amber, the gently
smoldering ashes of precious woods and incense create a unique, harmonious and
striking, fusion of darkness and luminosity. Absolutely exquisite.

Gris Clair Notes
lavender, amber, tonka bean, iris, dry wood, incense

i'll get back to you shortly on all the other decants !

Strangely enough, I've used pure Lavender extract quite often in the past. Mostly it's to prevent razor burn, but it smells alright

Jet - yoox has a bunch of LP slippers for cheap. I think there's only 8 and 11 available in black though (with black stitching...there's more sizes available for the contrast stitch ones).

Most "niche" scents just don't work for me....and the drugstore crap gives me headaches, like Reedobandito...

Anyone know a good lavender scent?

Caldey Island Lavender (excellent soliflore), Caron pour un homme (lavender with a touch of vanilla).

TdH is the only thing I wear, which is still pretty rare. Need something a little less sweet for hot days.
