(nice) happy w/ the jacket, the right amount of volume but still maintains a sleek siluoette that PE is known for.
99% keeping so I'll listen to what the 1% have to say

gettoasty, fit would look even better if the bottom of the pants were hemmed and tapered a bit more.

+1
I think all of the fits he has posted would look better with more of a taper on his pants.

Recently I've been lusting for a denim jacket and, as a consequence, I hysterically browsed the web (+went shopping several times) in search for a good candidate.

The short list looked something like this:

  • Edwin did I great job with its Overworks Factory collection/line. I tried on a jacket that had the right hue, fit snugly without being too snug and had all the chops but...it costed a fortune for being a 'basic' which I plan to use mostly for layering.

  • ...then I saw the Neighboorhood Stockman Jean Jacket on sale at TBS. I quite like it...but it's black.

  • Finally I ended up copping the Tryggve worker jacket by Nudie Jeans. The jury is still out as the parcel hasn't been delivered yet but it does look like what I need and the price point is quite a blast compared to what I had in mind.

not really liking the monks, old man shoes

Strongly disagree, double monks with the top strap unbuckled looks great.
