Aether, I like the cropped jeans.

haha, I think the the cropped denim actually looks good on the Yoox model! We'll see how I feel about it when it comes, but I could see it lookin great with my red Hawaiian shirt and some white cons. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif and they were $65 shog[1].gif

the dark gray carrot shaped trousers are from Brian Dales, never heard of him before finding it on yoox. but the cut looks excellent, and I don't have any gray pants.

The slim black pants are MSGM, again another Yoox brand I have no clue about.

aether, what's the brand of jeans?
They're Diesels. (Too downmarket for andrewgreg recognition?) And I have to agree they look godawful.

I consider diesel is one of the staple brands in jeans. I used to wear them. and now the only few pair of jeans is J brands, just because I don't wear jeans a lot.

I think diesel is the brand bring jeans to fashion? That's respectful. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes, Diesel. Ive never owned anything from them.

I dunno, in my eyes the jeans look good on the model. a slouchy, casual carrot fit. and I don't have any dad-wash jeans either.shog[1].gif

This tricky hue is in fact one of the reasons I was drawn to it -- it is very much black, but the one begins to question it, is it really pure black?!
Overdyed painter's canvas, requested that rear hardware be removed since I don't care for a piece of metal attached to my backside.
Of course he's busy in Paris so it won't be sent to me for some time, I don't really care about immediate gratification though. He will be having some nice surprises this spring. Watch this space for more news !

I bought it for that reason too, but damn sometimes it comes out way too strong, almost like indigo.

best fit ever, hate the random ass metal in my ass too, when I lay on the ground it hurts.

Some combination of Diesel making it mainstream & central to their brand identity and 7 For All Mankind "luxe-ing" it up and establishing/hyping the previously nonexistent "premium denim" category.

If you owned some, I'm surprised you didn't recognize his pair from the coin pocket stripe.

Got a pair of over dyed painter's canvas jeans in black from zamb from his earliest collection. Jeans is tough as hell when I got it, had to soak and wear it twice for it to finally get comfortable plus about 2 weeks of wear. Now they have softened out a lot and become very comfortable. Mine displays some bluish-grey hues under direct sunlight. But what i think is the nicest part about them is the undyed cotton peeking out at the seams, making it a very interesting pair of jeans. not to mention the salt residue, which may make some parts look "marbled".

I always thought the original "designer" jeans were Calvin Klein or Jordache or Guess in the late 70's / early 80's, no?

Surely it was long before Diesel was around
