Yup, although I still suck at taking pics. Here's another pick-up with the lightbox pic, at least it looks better than the old fluorescent lit pics.

Rfx has lots of nice fits. I think people's comments scare me. They are not only giving their real opinions but rather than insulting someone or saying something really bad. I don't want to be the next. :cold:

WWM sweatpants came in. should I keep? I'm normally a size M, but sized down to a S and the waist is still a little big. Comfy.

Yes, lounge wear (aka pajama bottoms) is usually comfy.

Perhaps you're actually getting the real opinions here, but in off-line polite society nobody would dare say what they really think. When we see a fit pic we can't help but also form thoughts about the person's face, the background scenery, their girlfriend, etc. Seems like what you're really saying is that you don't like the uninhibited/non-polite atmosphere of this forum.

For comparison, try looking at The Fashion Spot forums. People post terrible fit pics on that site and either nobody comments on it (most common) or they tell the poster how great they look. I am pretty sure if you were to post the truth on that site you would be banned by the admins. Most other fit posting sites appear to operate under similar rules.

Dude, I wouldn't worry about it. I post some pretty mediocre fits and as long as you come in with a modest attitude, people are usually very constructive and fair.

By Schott. Got a size small and medium -- will return the one that doesn't fit as well. I hope they really are fitted! Will probably have to get it tailored to my exact liking, though.

Picked up that Yigal shearling (thanks kunk!) the customer service at the Yigal Azrouel store in New York was seriously top notch. They responded to my e-mails after-hours with measurements and helpful sizing information (they have actual knowledge of how specific pieces fit (!)) lol8[1].gif

I think what you are saying is--
1. There are the clothes posts.
2. There is the fit pic. That is, how clothes fit on a body, and the quality of the clothes and the elegance of the fit.
3. There is the person in the pic. A complete person--with a head, shoulders, knees and toes. Most people don't post pictures of themselves, and there could be many reasons for this. If there is a person, you can form an opinion of who this person is...
4. Then there is the setting for the fit pic with or without a person in it. This also reflects on the person...

Someone like Andrewgreg only posts clothes...actually, he only LISTS his clothes--the pics of the clothes are from the Mr Porter website. There is little anyone can say about Andrewgreg based on this. But I learn about what clothes are out there, and find out things I didn't know before. Mr Porter should pay Andrewgreg! But Andrewgreg can expect nothing in terms of feeback.

Someone like Reedobandito posts fit pics, where you can see how the clothes fit (or misfit, in Reedobandito's case). I don't know why anyone would post this, if they didn't want feedback. If you want to include yourself in the pic, good for you...Reedobandito's already undersized sweaters clash, often very violently, with his hair style and colour...and this should be noted. And honest feedback should not put you on the forum's terror watchlist. The setting is immaterial...usually a public washroom mirror.

Then there are the setting pics. eg. ManOfKent's pics. But that is just scratching the surface. It could be someone in an Oxxford suit in a Manhattan boardroom with a view from the 100th floor....or someone getting ready to play cricket wearing John Smedley....what you need is a good camera, and you need to know how to use it. There is no limit to what you can do...and there is no limit to the feedback.
