2200usd for jersey cotton pants. cut from a pattern he has been using for years.
Excellent choice of a words. "a pattern he's been using for years." is correct, as well as "a linea pattern he borrowed years ago"
exactly. and yes the cut is amazing, but it can't be used to justify the price anymore because it has been around now for ages. the r&d and related costs on this were paid for long long ago, so why double the price from when it came out? and lets not forget, this garment is completely unfinished. there is not exactly a ton of skilled labor involved here anymore. put the pattern on the fabric, cut it, sew it all together like you've done a thousand times before, put on a tiny little silver clasp, bam...$2200.
Funny that people are calling out M.A+ These pieces have been overpriced for years. I honestly still think this goes back to peoples accusations regarding his association with Carpe Diem.
let me use another industry as a metaphor. lets say that in 2007 Audi introduced a new car and priced it at 35000. (curiously this car is very similar to a maserati that is no longer in production but whatevs.) people love the car. then in 08 they release the same car. same car. no changes at all in engine, transmission, suspension, body style, nothing. but now it is 40,000. then in 09 it is done again. same exact car but it is 45000 now. then again in 2010 and then again in 2011. but now it is 52,000. do u not think that people would say "hey man they are charging 52000 for basically an 07 audi that i bought for 35000 4 f*ckin years ago?dude.
If you wear certain CCP garments you are certain to stand out but I think thats part of the appeal. Really no point if you are just looking for the most vanilla CCP pieces to buy because then its pretty obvious you only want the designer name...
Glad someone actually bought these, and for a steal. Damned big feet peoples. Still regret posting the dark brown ones way back when thinking I'd be able to pick up the blacks instead, keeps me up at night
