I was going to ask you to elaborate but then I remembered you have a well-honed gag reflex toward most things avant garde.

ccp is ok. i like the footwear and the leathers (scarstich is the best leather ive ever seen), but so much of the brand just seems so.. bizarre for the sake of being bizarre. i know this is gonna start a debate about how that's the message poell is trying to send, etc, but at the same time clothing functions in the real world and all that.

my god, i agree with teger about something

but of course, some people just like bizarre stuff. so it's a legitimate taste.

I dunno I mean there's definitely stuff like the groil sneakers that are one end of his spectrum and other more conceptual pieces. Then there are things with more traditional shapes but some sort of dying/construction/pattern gimmick like his self edge shirts and random things with overlock stitching. I tend to like the more vanilla latter stuff. I wouldn't mind a CCP suit etc and I don't think they are bizarre for the sake of bizarre. Have some dead end overlock jeans and several pairs of pants and they also aren't that out there imo.... but the details are pretty awesome.

People do complain about his stuff being uncomfortable and that's the point. I don't know how big I am a fan of that concept. But I haven't experienced that myself as the stuff I own is fine.

your perceptions of clothing and corporeality are about to be destroyed this fall/winter 2013 by a reversible CCP jacket where one side is the inside and the other side is also the inside and there's no wearable side. (couchskin, $18,000)

This is grail status for me, and also the only article of clothing capable of expressing my dark and mysterious inside twice.

I generally like the "SZ brands" but CCP and M.A.+ do nothing for me. But I've never seen them in person so who knows.

I'm waiting for ccp humanleather jacket with titanium exoskeleton (with attached hand-gloves) to compliment my hair-pants.

ma+ is awesome in person sometimes a little too hobo-esque. ccp varies from awesome to impractical/uncomfortable IMO.

Handglove? Exoskeleton? Done.

Yes. "How would you like a girl to dress" crosspost

From all the "SZ brands", CCP, MA+ and LUC are probably the only ones I could see myself buying one or two pieces from.
