I'm really liking the rubberized GATs I received today. The lack of structure is kind of weird (rubber whole cut upper pretty much with partial leather lining and fabric lining) but they should see a lot of use in the 4-5 months when the weather usually prevents me from wearing sneakers. The all white matte tone is nice too. I'm just hoping they wear in nicely and that the rubber doesn't form heavy folds , which is my main concern.
Also, Inis Meain fair isle came in yesterday.. thanks for the tip on the drop Zissou. I wore it out almost immediately after opening the package. It's definately one of my favorite sweaters.
I'm still contemplating picking up the CP officer boots but kind of worried the nubuck will get destroyed in the shortest imaginable time here.
I recently discovered the same thing. Assumed I was just a 4 in Schneider everything. Turns out, I'm a 4 in shirting, anywhere between a 4 and a 6 in knits, usually a 5 in blazers, 4-5 in outerwear. WTF.
Hmm.. you guys must have oddly-shaped bodies.
I size up or stay TTS for blazers, size down for trousers. Outerwear and knits I'm consistent.
I don't think those would be as versatile as all black. I'm currently looking to upgrade my all black sneakers. My current pair are Clae, which have really cheap leather that creased up badly after a few wears I was considering the rubberized black GATS, but I'll probably go with Achilles mids unless some all black leather GATs with black sole become available (not happening) or I spot something else soon.
