I don't know what to do with my life, and I'm asking everyone in the world for advice.

Figuring things out for yourself is the only freedom anyone really has. Use that freedom. Make your own choice.

I would give it to you, but you'd probably think I was shitting you and not listen.

Hell yeah. And I'm just the person to do it.

It's what I'm doing.

Very. Currently working my first job out of college, paying off debt, saving up some money, etc. The problem is it's a dead end job, and I'm not really learning anything at the job. I have no idea what skills I'm learning that could be transferable to another job, and I feel like I'm setting myself up for disaster.

I studied Economics in school because I thought I would study Economics, land a job in finance and just make money. I figured I'm gonna hate my job no matter what and I'm decent at math, I might as well go down this path. Well that was the dumbest thing ever. I was clueless on how hard it actually is to get a job in finance, and how I'm not even really interested in finance. Now I feel like I don't have to love my job, and I still want to make money, but I at least want to LIKE my job... a little.

Since my job isn't really teaching me any skills I feel like I could transfer to another job, I'm scared that I'm stuck moving from average job to average job. I thought about going back to school for accounting because that would actually teach me some skills, but accounting is boring as hell. I took Financial Accounting twice and hated it both times. Did fine and barely opened my book, but it was god awful. I just feel like now, I'm going nowhere fast, so I gotta make a decision. And I'm right back to doing something because it'll pay well and leave me with a decent job. Which I guess is better than nothing, and I enjoy the comfort of actually learning a hard skill that I can transfer from job to job rather than what I'm doing now. I don't plan on leaving my job any time soon, but I feel like I should be making plans for the future. I'm gonna be 24, still living with my mom, and have no idea what I'm doing with my life.

This is all a jumble of thoughts right now so if it isn't coherent, I apologize.

What do you enjoy doing? Also, what are you good at?

If you are good with numbers maybe try restaurant management. I must warn you though... the restaurant industry is full of really fucked up people. Restaurants have an extraordinary failure rate, so if you're an earner you will be in high demand by owners.
