Has anyone here tried "going Paleo?" What's it like? Is it even feasible in the modern world?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

I eat paleo and have for the past 6 months. I think the NYT article is interesting, but pretty stupid. Basically I just eat as high quality meat/fish as I can purchase, vegetables, fruit and nuts. I have a small gluten intolerance as well as a lactose intolerance which are the big no no's of paleo, so its fairly easy for me to cut them out. The hardest thing for me to cut out is alcohol.

I eat a paleo/ low carb diet. I mention low carb because the paleo diet allows unlimited fruit consumption. I limit my sugar fruit intake. Basically I feel great following the paleo diet. I used to have tremendous stomach problems but that has all but gone away. My energy levels have increased, the afternoon after lunch fog disappeared, my skin complexion is clear as can be, my hair stopped thinning and has grown thicker, my weight lifting work outs are great, etc. - overall I have nothing but good words to say about the diet. If looking to learn more from a medical stand point, several physicians have found the paleo/ low carb/ evolutionary/ primal/ ,what ever you want to call it diet, a useful tool in helping control diseases. A few blogs that I follow written by doctors that talk about what the paleo/ low carb diet has done for their patients: A Cardiologists: http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/ A Physician that runs a successful weight loss clinic: http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/ A Nephrologist and a Pharmaceutical expert: http://nephropal.blogspot.com/ A Nutritional expert: http://www.drbriffa.com/blog/ The author of the paleo diet book has an informative blog also at: http://thepaleodiet.blogspot.com/

It's fabricated restrictions supported by an unsupported tale of human history. Restrictions create the intended results, but with 'paleo' people get to feel virile like a grunting animalian hunter.
+1
lolwut.
Some people need to take a class on evolutionary medicine.

it works and you dont need to beleive any of cordains science to understand that it works
you are replacing calory dense but nutrient empty foods (rice, wheat, corn etc) with nutrient rich foods which are high in fibre (green vegetables)
you feel better because you are actually meeting the RDI vitamin and mineral intakes for once in your life (trust me, its very hard to do this on a reasonable number of calories if you are eating grains) and you are filling up on fibre.
plus you dont have all the nastiness of insulin spikes.
