http://www.tdaltonclothing.com/ They are sold locally to me at a place called The Vault. My wife and I own a few pieces each. Good quality retro-wear. I know they have a couple other shops - don't know exactly where.. Contact them through the website supplied above for more info. edit - here's a(n albeit annoying and boring) video showing some more styles. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ideoid=5580585 I've seen both styles from your pictures above at the local shop.

Alright well i bought a couple Brixton Union jackets and just received em tonight... theyre brand new so they have a fair amount scratchy fibers that bug the hell out of me. It's 100% cotton and the lining on the inside is very rough to the touch and almost feels like wool or something which does not agree with my skin. I REALLY like these jackets as ive been wanting clean basic slim fitting canvas work/garage style jackets and im hoping the lining will soften up or the fibers will fall out or both or whatever... is there a short cut i should be considering here? I stuck one of them in the dryer inside out super low heat w a dryer sheet and it helped a tiny bit but overall didnt help as much as i'd have liked....

Well, since nobody knows, I'll relate my experience.

I went ahead and ordered a half size up - I have a slightly wide foot. They fit very well. If I got my correct size they would have just fit me, but they seem like they'll stretch a bit. I like to wear thicker socks, so these fit great.

These brogues boots are SUPER lightweight - like sneakers. Comfortable right out of the box.

Hope this helps someone else.

I picked up a pair of the Jean Shop Rocker black overdyes at the Gilt final sale, but the fit isn't as slim as I would like. Is it worth it to taper them, or should I just put them up for sale? I'd like to get them to fit like my W+H Slim Fits, for the sake of comparison

That's brilliant help, thanks! On the video, yes very tedious, but a good few inspirations all the same. I think that shop will be my best bet though, so thanks again.

so i've got some old rockport boat shoes my dad gave me (we're the same size) that are practically new, even though they're like 10ish years old (soles look almost brand new), but i didn't get to wear them last summer because they give me blisters on my feet when i wear them for even part of a day.

with spring right around the corner, are there any ways i can break these in quickly without my feet falling off? is it okay to wear socks with them for a bit when the weather gets a bit warmer so i dont get blisters?

I wear socks with boat shoes if I'm wearing pants. Real calf length socks, not white ankle socks or the like. For shorts, I have to say barefoot is looks better.

I own a J.Crew selvedge chambray which is 25% linen/75% cotton. Is there a certain way I should wash the shirt. Hand wash + hang dry best solution ? Thanks in advance fellas'

Hi good folks of SF.
I've been stomped on this question for a while now.
I tried to do a bit of a search online but i couldn't find one like my case.
So I bought a pair of Thinn Fins about 8 months ago and they were a size 31. After everyday wear, they seem to have either stretched alot or i have lost alot of weight (which i think i did).
About a month and a half ago, i bought a pair of A.P.C new cures in size 29 and have worn them alot. They are still quite tight to a point where there are no wrinkles around the thighs (but there are crotch whiskers and i dont mind the tightness)
Now my question is, i REALLY want to get a pair of thinn finn dry black coated but i dont know f i should go for a size 30, or a size 31. If i go size 30, i'm afraid i wont be able to fit them at all, and if i go size 31, i'm afraid they'll stretch too much.
Please help~~~

//edit. i will post a picture of both the apcs and the nudie i own soon.

recommend me some nice brown boots. I'm thinking of picking up the katahdins but winter is almost over and I'm thinking maybe I should go with something a little less hardcore. Price range ~2-300.
