I just bought a new Levi's raw denim jacket in a dark indigo color. The fit on the torso is nice and snug but the sleeves seems loose. Is there a way I can shrink the sleeves or should I just shrink the whole jacket and break it in that way. Also how would I shrink the jacket by a half size to a size? Any advice would be helpful!
I actually just emailed Denim Therapy in NYC about this very thing. For $40, they're slim and shorten (if need be) the sleeves on your denim jacket. If you can't come into the store, you can ship the jacket to them. They do, however, ask for precise measurements and that you pin the jacket to your desired fit. You can email info@denimtherapy.com for further information.
heres a better picture. lol dont have 300+ to spend on shoes and its my first pair of wingtips so im looking for a more casual shape. was looking for these but i couldnt find it in the right size or the actual model name. i got names like gavin and perkins but neither are right
Understandable. However, as I'm sure you've read here before, quality > quantity.
Secondly, if you're looking for a more casual shape, a blucher/derby is infinitely more casual than balmoral/oxford (which is the style you have pictured).
If you're not as concerned with quality of construction, then you could probably find those shoes, or some very similar, at Urban Outfitters.
EDIT: These are pretty close. Just missing some light burnishing and laces.
i hope i'm not posting in the wrong thread here, but i have a question about allen edmonds sizing:
in the 5 last, would there be much width difference (if any) between a size 7.5D and a 7D? I tried on a pair of 7D park ave's a while back and they were too tight so I just ended up returning them. Recently tried on a pair of 7.5D from a friend and they felt fine width-wise but too long for me. So I was wondering if possibly the shoes would end up stretching a bit (width-wise) after some wears or if the 7.5D really is just wider than a 7D. TIA!

I would try the Allen Edmonds Appreciation thread. You'd probably get an accurate answer quick there.
Hi, I just got a pair of clark's beeswax db. How should I go about waterproofing them? Should I use wax in addition to the waterproofing spray I bought from the clark's store? I understand that some people prefer the beaten up look but I guess I'm going for the slightly beaten up but water resistant look.

Can anyone please identify these shoes ? Even anything that looks like them.

I don't think the width would be the same. If you were comparing a 7E and a 7.5D they might be the same. It is possible for the shoe to stretch a little though in the width, but if they hurt when you have them on it could be a painful first 8 - 10 wears.
thanks for the info. was asking this because of a pair on ebay but ended up just picking them up anyways since it was a good price. figure since they've been worn a bunch of times they'll be a bit stretched and possibly work out for me. if not i could just throw em back on ebay.
Is it appropriate to wear such wide-spread collar shirt casually? Like no-tie, opened collar and with jeans (maybe sweaters) etc.? Really liked this one at STF:

Thanks!
Any thoughts on the quality of this jacket http://www.ebay.com/itm/280932513767?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1202? I am considering purchasing.
