General opinion on flat top vs. "typical" wayfarer shape?

Flat Top

Typical

I dig the second pair, but I've found some pretty good deals on flat top varieties and I'm interested to know what people think of that style.

+1. This shit works great. I read to skip the vinegar if you have MOP buttons though, as it can mess up the surface.

Couldn't think of anywhere else to ask this: is there a list anywhere of online consignment shops (that are SF approved)? Tried searching the forum, but to no avail.

Uniqlo will be opening a San Francisco store in the fall. They would be good for polos (and just about everything but jackets and shoes).

You're on the right track that a leather jacket is where you should put your money. I don't have any sub-$150 suggestions.

Thinking about getting a backpack for the weekends when I'm out.

Think I narrowed it down to either the Fjallraven Vintage 20L:

Or the Herschel Little America:

Anyone have any opinions on either? Or any other recommendations on other types?

does it have to be a backpack?

Due to the nature of the packs you posted I assume you are not looking for a technical piece, are you going to wear the pack or use it to transport items to and from the car/plane/bus?

If you are planning on using it outdoors I would recommend you look for a technical piece, what you posted would not last long in certain environments IMO.
