any recommendations on some casual/work pants? i'm thinking along the lines of W+H chinos. I have two pairs of those and love the fit. Probably pick up another in olive but still would want to pick up a few more. Basically they're just going to be worn with button down shirts (probably no tie).

oh and preferably 150 or less.

9" bowery shorts from J.Crew are sort of like those.  http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/shorts/boweryshorts/PRDOVR~82818/82818.jsp

This might be pedantic, but all shirts are button-downs.

No, they aren't.

All shirts (by the increasingly passé "proper" defn.) are button-ups.

"Button-down" refers to a collar that buttons down onto the chest, and most shirts are NOT button-downs.

Sew down the single back box pleat then add in two darts at the back like WvG shirts

Thanks, I'm probably gonna go this route.

Does that leave a bit of an awkward area in between the box pleat and darts?

Just bought this jacket off of eBay in a small for $80 a few weeks ago, don't know why nobody else jumped on it. I'll see if I remember to take some pictures of it when I get home.

My opinion is that you should not buy them.
