Mackage. Warm and leather.

Regarding leather jackets, assuming you have a 35" chest w/ a t-shirt on, would a 34-36 or a 36-38 be better? (cowhide)

it depends how tight of a fit you want.

I'm looking to get my first pair of relatively nice jeans and have no idea where to begin looking.  I'm 6'3", 170 lbs -- so I'm a thin guy but I'm not looking for very skinny jeans.  I've usually gone with Banana Republic / J Crew jeans, but would like to go to the next level.  Hoping to spend less than $200.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Does anyone know where I could find a good pair of black chinos? Somebody recently posted a great fit with some Odyn Vovk ones that looked nice but I can't find those or anything like them anywhere. It's actually surprising hard to find simple, well-fitting black chinos.

Call SelfEdge and give them measurements of your waist and thigh and they can help you out. It's how I found a good fit for my jeans.

Unless you're in NYC or LA and can try stuff on at nice retailers.

Is there a significant difference between white leather Jack Purcells and white canvas Jack Purcells? Which one should I get?

Hey guys, I was hoping to get an opinion on fit.

These are naked and famous weird guy size 30 in indigo.  I just got them (super fast) from blue owl.  I tried posting in the naked and famous thread but i couldn't get it to work so I'll try here.

The fit through the thighs a little tighter than I was expecting but they feel too uncomfortable or seem to look too bad in the pictures.  The waist seems to fit ok, it's basically snug with all the buttons done.  Not sure how much stretching to expect there.  I'm just looking to get a second opinion on whether I should keep these and wear them, resize, or try a different cut.

For reference, I currently have a levi 514 in size 32, but they have stretched out in the waist just a bit more than I would like.

Thanks!

A pair of JPs have served me well as a pair of beaters.  Had them for about a year.  I went w/ the leather ones b/c it was only like a $5 or $10 difference.

In my experience, leather JPs beat the canvas ones, hands down.  Especially in white - the leather version just looks better when dirty and scuffed up.  Although, really, I think this is just a matter of personal preference, so I think you should get whichever version you like more.
