Depending on sizing, some amount of tightness and breaking in should be expected...if you don't generally experience pain in your knees, heels and back from shoes, I'd talk to the service associate you bought them from about how or why that'd be the case. That's not normal.
The shininess...I'm again at a loss, why did you buy them if you didn't like the fit and material? Kinda sounds like you just bought them because they're AE and purportedly 'good shoes', likely on ebay or something?
I bought them here on Styleforum, worn twice. I needed a pair of boots with more traction than my DBs, and I slip a lot less on snow thanks to the studded sole on these. I also didn't realize they were this shiny from the pictures. It's rather the opposite: I had a hard time finding a functional pair of shoes that looked good, because I can't afford the ones I like, and I only happened to get AE boots because they were pretty cheap.

Hey guys, Ive been reading on leather jackets and decided to get my first one recently. I have read a lot about how a jacket should fit slim and fitted but wanted to get some clarification on a few things.

http://www.cladmen.com/division-leather-jacket.html

This is the leather jacket that I got for about 70% off retail, seemed like a good deal.

The medium pretty much fits perfectly with a tshirt on underneath, but if I wear a sweater underneath its a little snug.  I read that lambskin will stretch and mold to you over time, so maybe this isnt an issue.

The large fits in the shoulders, a little more space in the chest( not baggy though).  The sleeves come down to almost my knuckles and are less fitted.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Obviously it varies for the specific model, but generally, if I wear an 11 in nike/adidas, is that going to be a 44 or 45? On my nike/adidas shoe tags it says that it's a euro 45, but from what I've read on most things here a 44=11. Hopefully you guys tell me that a 44=11 since I bought a pair of shoes from b&s that were a 44 and was told that they were tts.

Edit: While I'm here, if anyone knows about the actual German GATs, would I be best off in a 285?

Is there any European equivalent to Unlucky that makes good plain leather belts?

So I'm looking at the EG Andover jacket but can't figure out whether to go for a S or M-- I've got a 36.5-37 inch chest and wear a 36 in most jackets but occasionally have to size up to 38 for some of Rag & Bone's offerings. What you say?

Has anyone ordered from http://www.nittygrittystore.com/ before? I'm wondering whether or not I'm gonna get hit with customs. They ship Fed Ex and I'm in North America. Trying to score a good deal on some CP achilles.

Someone tell me if it's completely stupid to have a pair of W+H wool chinos cut into breeks. I can't tell if this is genius or I have a brain worm.

Breeks are for very old scottish men and hipsters.

Are you one of those?

Probably, or else why would I want breeks?

So this maybe a question, but sick of wearing L/S shirts rolled up in the heat..really want to find some SS that fit right. Are there any alterations a tailor can preform on shirts pulling up wards when raising your arms? Besides looking terrible it's a huge PITA for mobility, seems nothing ever fits me in the shoulder correctly, a lot of times the shoulder seam actually falls on my upper arm, If I size down then I have a shirt too tight and still shoulders that are to long.

Personally, I've never understood New Balance.
