penfield said it wasn't one of their models. it kind of looks like carhartt but most carhartt patches are on the front of the jacket, not on the arm. i need this jacket or something similar. thanks!

Strange, that logo looks exactly the same as the one on my penfield jacket sleeve.

I recently bought a used Martin margiela coat from a sf user. It's sized and tagged an eu48 but the tag is line 4, which I though was a women's line. Can anyone offer any insight or did I purchase a fake coat?

what color of chinos match with black or burgundy shoes? i can't find taupe anywhere, and i already have navy. don't say i should get brown shoes, unless you can convince me that it will work with my wardrobe (though personal experience shows that it looks odd).

Trying to decide between New Balance 993 colors. Which one would look best with a pair of black, straight (slim but not exactly skinny) jeans? I don't really want to go with the original gray one because it's a little too common. Any suggestions are appreciated; here are pictures for comparison:

oh, I dunno, khaki?

I think any chinos are gonna look kinda weird with burgundy and/or black shoes though. unless the shoe has a really casual design, black/burgundy shoes feel decidedly dressy to me, which chinos really aren't.

Hi, new user here. I'm in college and as a part of my job I work with the athletic teams on campus and have to attend events, so I need to start dressing in business casual. I've been shopping around for charcoal wool trousers and brown shoes. I'd like a slim fit on the pants but if I remember right, my quadriceps are something along the lines of 26" from the squatting and deadlifting I do at the gym. Any suggestions? I was considering the Smart line of pants from ASOS. If it helps at all, I do fit in Levi 511's pretty well without looking like a sausage.

Secondly, I've been doing a lot of homework on shoes and I'm set on getting a pair of brown or tan shoes for more versatility. At the very most, I'll be wearing them once or twice every weekend or so for several hours on a basketball court. Should I just keep scouring Ebay for Allen Edmonds? As a college student I don't have much money. I've been lusting over the Aldo Mr. B Adamis as seen here: http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/men/mr-bs/shoes/85610069-adamis/28. $150 is the most I want to spend.

For the pants, while a bit pricey, try the Rudy trousers over at epaulet. Little bit of room in the thigh and then tapered down the rest of the leg.

Thanks for the suggestion, but yeah the prices are definitely out of my range for those pants.

Edit: I take that back. I found one pair on Ebay right now that fits me perfectly for the waist and inseam. I'll do more measurements later but I'll probably hop on them if the price is right.

Why is this happening to the crotch of my denim? IMG Should I be expecting a crotch rip? I've worn these for like 2 weeks. The fades here are a lot more defined than any where else.
