hey, i have a sizing problem.

atm im 40" chest, but i would like 42". so im going to hit it at the gym for a while longer to get there, or maybe 43".

because of this, im going to hold off on more expensive purchases.

so im just wondering how sizing works.

is 40" chest = 40 US = 50 EU? what would this be in terms of S, M, L, etc? ( i know not all of the s, m, l fit the same but im talking about the ones that fit true to size)

What color shoes go with grey/charcoal pants (pants in question below)?

Looking for a casual shoe, I really don't like wearing black casual shoes. Can i get away with a brown?

Looking for a car/university coat that is slim, warm (100% wool), and fairly minimal in details. Like the Filson Yukon (link), but it seems like it's too big for me (5'10", 150, 37" chest, 18" shoulders, 31" waist). I don't really prefer the peacoat look (I like single breasted coats better).

Does anyone have any suggestions? Price range is around $150 to $250. Would be open to B/S.

That's more of a bomber type jacket, car coats are often much longer with lapels (I think)

How do you like Boston College, btw?

Yeah, I guess I'm looking for more a military aesthetic (29-31" length, single breasted, multiple pockets). I like the Schott DU738, but I'm not sure I want to pay so much for something that has quality problems.

Love BC. Graduating in May, but would kill to stay for another year.

Sidenote

I'm looking for a pair of leather pants like Yeezy often rocks

Something about this makes me think Balmain, but I'm sure you can find suitable pleather alternatives at your local fast fashion store without having to sell your soul to afford
