anyhow, here's hoping.

I have approximately 150 bucks. I know thats small timer for the majority of y'all but with bills and life and my bullshit retail job its whats spare for right now. I've been saving up for a short while change, 10 here, 20 there, I suppose much like a kid would with allowance. As un-baller, or peasant status as it might be I am ready to spend. I was trying to hold out and save up for some new denim... but after thinking about it a while (and the LVC's I bought not working out) I am fine with the 2 pairs I have so I am looking outside of denim.I am hoping for advice hopefully from people familiar enough with my WAYWT repertoire to lend me atleast a little bit of advice as far as my wardrobe goes..

stuff I was thinking of, maybe this will help maybe not

- fred perry polo (white,red,blue)
- blue jack purcells
-2-3 decent quality (decent is relative I know), well fitting(fit is relative as well I suppose) all season cotton shirts? (patterns, fabrics... I don't know **** outside of white/blue OCBD, they're really all i've ever worn, or needed to )
- using it for camera stuff ( like a minolta rokkor 58mm f=1.2 lens from ebay) instead

idk

I don't always like the clothes in my closet, and tend to thrift/shop clearance. I am not looking to blow through all of it, but maybe splurge a little.

I don't know if this small of a budget is the sort of thing you big timers can even comprehend anymore, but if you're willing/able to think of a suggestion or two this void of an accent dead center in the middle of the so called 'fly over' zone kid is looking for some suggestions either here or via PM

-Fred Perry polo's are nice but imho not worth it unless you can get them on sale, beware of shrinkage or don't put them in the drier.
-For decent quality low cost shirts, I'd check out Staver's J.crew shirt sales on B&S. Some other options are finding a uniqlo proxy or checking out mall-tier shops with decent shirts like GAP
-Purcells are always good, If you're wearing them with jeans I'd go for white ones though, blue shoes with blue jeans bugs me...
-One can never have enough glass...

$150-$200 is about all I ever spend on clothes too, usually about every 2-3 months I have about that much to spare. I usually buy 5-6 items of basics like tee's or hoodies OR 2-3 shirts/knits OR 1-2 pairs of shoes OR 1 pair of jeans, depending on what I need of course.

How do the Common Projects desert boots fit? I'm confused if I should get a 43 or a 44. I'm thinking a 43 because I THINK I read they fit a bit big. I'm usually around a 10.5/11 (9.5 in Jack Purcells)

They fit big. Bigger than the Achilles of the same size. I think this is a combination of longer length and insecure lacing consisting of only 2 holes. I also think that this year's model runs a bit smaller than last year's model.

I have the Achilles and desert boot both in size 42. The desert boot was slipping so I punched an additional hole for the laces. The slipping has stopped and they are still a bit too big but it's tolerable to wear them.

The logo for those shoes says "BIO Comfort". Not sure what the hell that means exactly, but as a general rule anything with the word comfort in it is best avoided. Regardless the shoes are ugly anyway. Unless you're really steezy already, wearing penny loafers with shorts will just make you look like an old man. Maybe consider getting some Quoddy moccasins and a pair of fashionable looking canvas sneakers instead. You could also get a nice pair of boots to wear with your jeans and chinos-- nothing wrong with wearing those in the summer.

Chambray is a woven fabric that is typically made of cotton, but can also be made of linen.

so chambray is the fabric but linen is the material? how does it differ from cotton chambray? lighter? will that make the shirt drape differently?

Does anybody have any negatives about Edwin denim. I am specifically looking at the Edwin Sen Selvage Skinny Japan, but have never tried on any of their jeans. Also, should I size up one or two sizes (if I normally wear a 34, should I get a 33 or a 32 waist)? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks.
