Can anyone suggest winter casual outerwear please? I'm from Russia, and its very cold here in winter, something like 10-15C below zero. I prefer such brands as FP, BS, Lacoste, but unfortunately their jackets are not warm enough. I would be very grateful for the advice. Thank you. And sorry for my awful English

How is the sizing on Jil Sander sneakers? Im looking at a pair of leather high tops and a pair of leather/suede lows, but dont know how to size. I wear a 9 in most dress shoes, 10 in vans, adidas etc.

How difficult would it be to alter jeans to make them slimmer in the thigh? I know some people have had their jeans tapered so I'm assuming it's possible, but would it be relatively doable, or extrememly difficult/expensive?

Hi guys,

Could very much use your help, i have a late birthday present waiting for me, and i think i would like a pair of Red Wing Gentleman traveler (beckman), the problem is i have no chance of trying them on first; what would you guess me to be?

I wear

Vans size US7,5
Low converse 7
High Converse 8
Air jordan 8,5

Would you guess me to be 7 - 7,5 or 8?

Thanks!

What kind of shoes go best with slim fit chino's given a business casual environment? No suede. Hate the feeling of the material.

Depends where. Top of the thigh, near impossible. Basically you can go as far as about 1 inch lower than the crotch seam. Any higher and you're messing with the pockets

I have some

and

2908_1_.jpg

but don't know what to match it with up top. what would be a nice color/stye of shirt to match it with?

I was thinking grey, but I realized... I don't have anything grey. Black/Blue feels weird and white seems like it would work but i don't know if i should do button up or if thats weird with corduroys.

TL;DR

What is a good style of shirt to wear with cords?

Hmmm?

It's "authentic" but it's from the Outlet Store. The "Tailored Fit" tag on the collar is one tell, the other is that all outlet items have a "double diamond" on the J.Crew tag in some manner or another. They are tagged at $65 and then there is always some kind of discount--25% off, $20 off, whatever. You would never pay more than ~$40 for that at the store--which is still less than the $98 tag on the mainline chambrays.

They are decent shirts, but the overall quality is not as high as the mainline stuff--lighter weight fabric, cheaper buttons, etc. On the plus side for many, the outlet shirts tend to be cut slimmer in genera than the mainline.
