While we're on it...

I just saw the Etro shirts in your sales thread. What do you think of them quality-wise ? I'm looking for a purple casual shirt and came across this one today...

Quality is pretty good, comparable to any other designer brand (MMM, Marni, Dries, etc.). Some of their designs leave me scratching my head, but when they get it right they make some fun shirts that I can appreciate (I'm also a sucker for colorful things)

I don't understand Euro sizing. If a pair of jeans are euro size 40 what is that in American sizing? If I normally wear 33 or 34 waist jeans, what Euro size should I look for. Thanks

I've never seen a pair of men's jeans that were Euro size 40, because that seems really small, but a 34 waist is a 50 in Euro sizing.

Ok, it's hard with Yoox cause some stuff is Euro and some is American. I am surprised Margiela makes jeans in American size 40 though...

Yes, and they ship by US Post which usually means no duty. Combine with discount codes ftw

Yoox always lists US sizes (and if you click a size, it'll tell you what tagged size that refers to). Occasionally they use suiting sizes for pants, that's the only difference, but it's still US

So all the pants and denim that are sizes 38, 40, and 42 are US sizes? I didn't think designer stuff went up that high. Thanks for the clarification though. Makes it easier for me.

Did you not see the part about suiting size? Those are listed by comparable suiting size (generally those would equate to a 32, 34, and 36 US waist size, respectively)

Depends on where on the medium scale you fall and what you're using to determine you're a medium. If you're using the cheaper American market clothes as a baseline, they tend to be cut boxy and are sized as M=40US, but most designers/Euro brands use M=38US. You can always return it for only a $6 shipping fee, but if you're a smaller medium, I doubt it'll fit (unless you want it oversized)

What styles can you match these shoes into, and which colour as well? I've got my eye on a pair of all white supras.
Check out the WAYWT thread, especially some of Sq4You's posts

That's confusingly worded... simpler explanation is that EUR50 usually fits like 38 US.
