Can anyone tell me what tw.bid.yahoo is?

I gather it's Yahoo Auctions China? And everything is in yuan?

Because a lot of items seem absurdly expensive (ie. thousands of dollars for designer shirts that would otherwise only be a few hundred at best)

Edit: I guess I was looking at current season stuff, might explain some of the prices.

Just discovered Taobao as well. Does anyone know of a reliable proxy service?

Should be great for bowling or ballet dancing.

Anyone got a reccomendation for a good black knit beanie? Something with wool or alpaca or natural fiber. Would be wearing with geller, rick, silent.

all three of those brands make beanies. i like EG beanies the best but wear rick with rick because brand synergy. i actually also like the fit of the Urban Outfitters store brand beanies and uniqlos are well made and hold their shape well

I like them, and not just for bowling or ballet. But, then, what's not to like about "Kitten Testicle Grey" shoes with an "Ich Bin Atheist" sole? I also like the company's aesthetic, ethic, and pricing. Personally, I'd go for one of the more striking colors, but that's me.

Any one know where to find similar style jackets/cardigans to Stephen Schneiders latest winter collection? An example would be this jacket I found here http://slamxhype.com/style/stephan-schneider-fallwinter-2010-furever-collection/

Some questions regarding derbies. I'm looking for a derby to wear during the winter, but the weather will be terrible and I'd either need to add a topy to a leather sole or get something that comes rubber soles. I was looking at these lug sole derbies, but was wondering if they look strange, since lug soles are quite thick. I would be wearing these with casual wear most of the time; trousers, overcoats, knits, etc.

Also, what is the context of derbies with different colored welts? For example:

Lugs on the sole of your shoes are going to be more casual, especially larger ones like what you show in the picture.  Whether that's ok or not depends on the context...I wouldn't wear shoes like that into an office, but then again, it depends on the office.  If you don't like the look of the big lugs on the shoe, there's lots of other options like dainite and leather/rubber combo soles.

A contrast welt is just a detail that's more casual that people may or may not like.

I wear a size 16 or 16.5 shirt -- let's just say it fluctuates. Anyway, bought a Brooks Brothers slim fit shirt, sz. 16, and I couldn't even button the damn thing. Not even close. Are BB shirts - with a green label - known for being at least a size smaller, or something? I'm wearing a BB 16 regular fit right now and it fits great. What gives?

That is their thinnest fit. Are you having trouble at the neck or elsewhere. The necks on all of their shirts should not change between fits.

Trouble starts three or four buttons from the top. Neck is fine.

ETA: I didn't realize it was their thinnest fit.

Maybe try their regent fit instead? The waist on the Milano is still to baggy on me, but it's almost too tight in the chest and the armholes could be a bit bigger.
