Does mr.porter pay for the return shipping? It's not really clear from their website to me.

Returns can be collected from your home, work or alternative address. It is that easy...

Book a free collection with DHL, by calling +44 (0)844 248 0844 or visiting www.dhl.com and selecting your country to find the telephone number of your nearest DHL branch. MR PORTER Premier customers will be contacted by the Premier team to arrange a collection.

Sign the returns pro forma invoice that you received with your order (and fill in the DHL air waybill if applicable). Please leave your package open until the driver has checked the contents.

You will be notified by email once your return has been received and processed.

Are the free returns only for Premier customers?

Hi guys,

Sorta new here. Been eyeing this BB Harris Tweed sport coat for a while. http://goo.gl/MhnzQk

Is it worth it? It's on sale for $350. The jacket does not come with functional buttons but due to the description, the manager has offered to make them for free. It'll cost $25 to shorten the sleeves in house but I have the feeling they would not be so accommodating about the buttons if I had the sleeves shortened elsewhere and brought back in for the buttons. I plan on buying discounted gift cards online to bring the price down to about $325 even after tailoring. Anybody want to advise me on whether it's decent quality for the price?

Hey everyone, long time reader, new poster! I just bought a pair of the Gap Slim fit selvedge jeans ($108) in a 29×30. This is my first pair of selvedge, and although the waist fits well enough, I'm afraid that once it breaks in it will stretch too much. Anyone have any experience with Gap selvedge sizing? If it helps, I'm about 5'8 and 135 pounds, and I planned to wear my jeans pretty frequently, but not in rough conditions.

Oh, in regards to my last post, the issue is I was unsure of keeping the 29×30 or sizing down to a 28×30. Thanks.

Looking for a grey laced boot. Prefer something like a side-zip. Not a chukka. Not something you'd pull on to go chop firewood. Suede is OK.

Margiela, Heschung, Buttero all have let me down.

Help.

I'd probably size down. I think most people buy raw jeans as tight as they can comfortably to account for stretch. You didn't mention in your post, but are they sanforized or not? If they are sanforized you have less to worry about since they should not stretch as much.

I actually just found out they were unsanforized. Probably just going to return them, selvedge isn't that important to me, as I've been happy with Gap's regular denim. Also, silly question, but how do you attach the quote in responses?

has anyone worn the Naked & Famous 'copper twist" selvedge denim for an extended period? Does it get very sparkly after a wash?

There is a quote button under each post.

I have two baracuta G9, one is navy and the other is racing green. the confusing part is the care tag for the green jacket said not to dry clean but the care tag for the blue one said otherwise. they have the same exact material. so how do you wash them and retain their original colour? also i hate wrinkles and worn out look.

cheers.

I purchased a vintage varsity jacket off of ebay with white leather sleeves.  The sleeves are heavy cowhide, and while there's no cracking, they're pretty beat up and the color isn't very even.  I was wondering if there was anything I could do to restore the color to the sleeves.  I was thinking of using some white meltonian cream to restore the color, but I've seen general warnings not to use shoe products on leather jackets, so I'm not sure if there's a better option out there.  I'm also a little worried that the white polish would rub off on to other clothing.

I think some people say a hanger shouldnt extend past the shoulder seams. This does slightly but with the slope it isnt too bad.

Anyone?

I'll be traveling the Dallas in a few days, any clothing boutiques and eateries I should check out? As far as my current clothing interest goes, it's somewhere around tech-ninja (think @Rais).
