I'm not sure, but I have read that Japanese mills produce some of the best cotton fabric in the world.

Best cotton fabric int world? Not true. That would most probably be India.

But maybe this would shed some light on it.

No I did not say that they necessarily grow their own cotton I said that their mills produce some of the best cotton fabric in the world (no matter where the cotton comes from), and your link agrees. I don't know who does selvedge better (shirts or jeans) and some of the newer cotton products like socks are just superb. Some of the best oxford cloth and chambray shirts I ever owned were milled in Japan.

Looking to get a pair of penny loafers next week in NYC, with a very specific set of attributes. If they can be delivered to NYC before wednesday that works too.

These are the pairs I want, but for either stocking or price reasons are not available. Can somebody find me the next best thing? I've probably spent 30 hours searching back and forth and I'm worried I'll end up with no shoes at all if I don't make my decision soon enough.

Budget: Max $400, preferably less if possible.

The thing these have in common are the dressier aspects of the full/pinched penny as opposed to a beefroll, the tan color (a must), and the somewhat discrete front seam.

I think I have found every last penny loafer out there, but I'm hoping you can prove me wrong or find the above in an outlet I failed to discover.

Hello,

My name is Rahul and I am new to this forum, and i just wanted a little help with deciding on a suit, the occasion is informal party for school leavers, but all my friends are wearing navy suits with a tie and I wanted to stand out a bit. So I decided I would wear a bow tie with one of my friends.

Can you please chose bow tie or skinny tie, and if bow tie does that shirt go well with the suit

(help me i am a NOOB)

(^ when you see it, the mirror lies, joking I Photoshoped the pictures below, because I couldn't find that shirt!)

No problem, you look sharp! Just remember, style over fashion. Your suit with the bow tie will never go out style. Neither would it with the straight tie. You are on the right track. It does my heart good to see young people dress so well...

How much flexibility should I have when wearing a sport coat? I'm working on altering one now. The fit is good while standing and the fabric is smooth across the back and shoulders. My only concern is that if I reach my arms straight forward it gets taut almost immediately. I understand I'm not going to be doing jumping jacks in this thing. I'm definitely OK with sacrificing flexibility for fit while wearing a jacket. I'm just trying to get a handle on how much flexibility is normal.
