Ask a Question, Get an Answer - ask all quick questions here - Page 1001

I am new hear, so forgive me if it is the wrong place to ask.

I have recently aquired this nice blazer (and now heaven and hell will fall upon me for probably using the wrong word) in a secondhand store.

I seems like it is of nice quality but I do not know the brand, which is called "HIM of Sandinavia" and as it shows on the label it says that it is from Norway.

I have not been able to find anything about this brand or manufactorer apart from the fact that Bern. Skau seems to be a boutique in Skien near Oslo, Norway but they haven't got at website. Does anyone among this knowledgeable crowd acquaintanced this brand before and can tell me something about it?

Thank you.

you may have better luck asking that question on the Classic Menswear side, MrHat.

Got this suit ->http://cdna.lystit.com/photos/bb33-2014/02/21/jcrew-gray-factory-thompson-suit-jacket-with-double-vent-in-cotton-pique-product-1-17838454-0-574101219-normal_large_flex.jpeg for a wedding. It is a lot darker then I wanted. It was on sale and no returns so fuck me.

Need a tie to go with it and was thinking the red one here, although I really want the pink one to work. Could it? Not going to lie I just want one of these amazing ties to work.

My initial thought was that the tie was pretty obnoxious for a wedding, then I thought of my buddy who puked and passed out on the lawn of the reception restaurant. His mother had to pick him up.  So long as you don't do that, any of the ties are, erm, fine. Knot too big n loose, tie too long, though.

When I get married, I'm going to send very specific instructions out with my invitations so that people don't show up dressed how they see fit.

cross-post from the ultimate newbie denim thread:

Wow, so after having put it off for forever, I actually chanced upon a classmate who's all into denim and stuff in one of my classes and I think he might be interested in a pair of Flat Heads I bought a long time ago:

http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=68&products_id=338

I have the Self Edge collab - SE05BSP - and bought it 3.5 years ago for $355 (including tax). They retail for $370 now (so after tax it's a little over $400). I never ended up wearing them (except once) because they're a size too big (should've done more research before buying them shog[1].gif ).

Anyway, what's a reasonable selling price? I was thinking of giving them away for $180 (maybe even $160 eek.gif ).

Is that too much of a hit to take on my part? I try to be a nice guy with these types of things (and the jeans are years old, anyway; I've ever only worn them once briefly). Or is that what they're pretty much worth given the number of years (they've been soaked) they've been sitting?

What's the size and measurements post soak? I would be interested if they are my size.

Anybody have any experience with Strike Movement? Especially the shoes?
http://strike-mvmnt.com/home.php
Found out about them through the designer for Reigning Champ on Instagram. The kicks look interesting for training in (clean silhouette with a treated terry fabric). Just hoping to find some info on sizing since they only produce up to US12 (my nike size) and am also curious if CYC/Reigning Champ have anything to do with the production of their fabrics (it's mostly tees and hoodies in some form of "tech" fleece). They are based in Vancouver so maybe that's the only connection to RC.
Anyway, anybody know anything about the brand?

they were a size 29 (never measured them though)

sorry, though, but the guy took them frown.gif

I actually offered $160 at first but he said that was too little so I bumped them to $180
