how do vans slip-ons fit compared to authentics?
Debating between getting a pair of Samurai 710xx 15th anniversary or a pair of Iron Heart 301s or 666....Any opinions or inputs would be appreciated.

I'm a W31, 5'8 145 lbs, looking for a slim/straight fit à la LVC '67 505 with a leg opening of ~7.5" or so.

Thanks

Can I wear these with jeans? Or Should I look for something else? Always wanted to know if I could wear Derbies with jeans.

I've narrowed down my choices to the following:

Regardless of the color and the price, which one would you pick? I can't choose nor am I willing to buy both.

Nothing waist length is appropiate with a suit. Your suit jacket will stick out past it, and you will look like an idiot (and the waist length duffle look a bit silly anyway IMO). For the same amout of money you could get a vintage USN peacoat (much nicer anyway), as well as a decent top coat.

Oh, well I can just get a nice overcoat for when I actually wear suits, Prorsum makes one I really like.

However, I'm not a fan of that boxy look USN peacoats give, I want something more fitted and slim, and high-quality. As far as my experience with the brand goes, Burberry does that nicely.

Why does the waist length duffle look silly?

I'm not very tall (around 182 centimeters), so I don't want to wear a really long coat or I'll just look goofy.

Does anyone happen to have a BB Milano suit jacket in 38S or R whose shoulder width they could provide, preferably from a made in USA model?  I found an ebay seller recalcitrant to measuring anything, so I'd like to bypass him.

It sounds like you already know the answer to this question.

Looking at a used Brooks Brothers suit on Ebay with limited photos (seems moreso due to inexperience of the seller than anything shady): which labels signify BBOutlet wares, as opposed to stuff from the mainline stores? Anyone have or know of a visual reference for Brooks Brothers labels?

I know "346" is strictly Outlet, but then there's "Saxxon" or other things on some: Here's a photo from the interior of the jacket -

What am I looking at?

Hard to tell without the tag at the neck and in the pocket. I'd guess that's probably not newer 346 though.

Old 346 stuff is good. My interview suit is a vintage 346 and it's solid.

Hey

Need a legit check on these balmain bikers I picked up. Apparently they have been heavily used and have been redyed at some point (which explains the care tag). These are the stretch model released several seasons ago before Balmain switched to Japanese production (hence the Made in Italy tag).

The zips are lampo, fairly heavy and function smooth. This is my very first pair of bikers and I do plan on getting the holes repaired, etc but I don’t want to mess with them if they are not legit.

They also fit like stock pics Ive seen. Anyway, a “yay” or “nay” would be most helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Hi - longtime lurker, first time posting.  Anyhow, i'm looking for a leather jacket, something similar to the Black ToJ Moto 2011, perhaps w/ the padding on the shoulders and/or elbows.  Not sure i really want to wait ~9 months for a ToJ if a similar alternative is more immediately available.  Any suggestions?  MIght Belstaff a good option?  Thanks in advance.

best,

I wouldn't buy from someone that isn't interested in measuring or providing measurements for items.

best,

do you only plan on wearing it for a few seasons or something before retiring or selling it?

cause if not, a 9 month wait is pretty negligible in the long run
